Boston BarCamp

Monster Labs was recently the host of the Boston Barcamp. A Barcamp is an unconferencethat gets a group of geeks and related people together and organize talks, hack-a-thons and seminars on the spot. Barcamp was a raging success; you can checkout the Flickr pool here and podcasts here, here and here

If there's a Barcamp near you they're well worth attending. We met lots of interesting people who had some seriously cool ideas. One of our geek favorites was the Omniscient Debugger which is idea that I hope finds its way into every IDE, and of course the Reddit guys were a huge hit.

Guys, good to see the new blog! Actually, there is an upcoming event that has been very much inspired by the success of BarCamp Boston. It’s called PodCamp Boston, and it’s being held on September 9-10 (still working out the venue).

We’ll be teaching and learning about how we use and create new-media content through tools such as podcasts and blogs.

A huge thanks for BarCamp Boston and Monster Labs for showing us how well an unconference can work! We hope to emulate that success at PodCamp.
